Next Meeting is Tuesday, July 14 2009.
I was just talking with Brother Sean Robertson about our group event to the River City Rascals ball game. One of the best upcoming games that looks good is on Friday July 17. Please send an email to Brother Sean at sean.saxen@gmail.com or call 314-303-1098 and let him know if you would be interested in attending that particular game. Remember this is a fun, family event and you are welcome to bring your wife, girlfriend, kids, etc. Based on the number of responses Sean receives in the next couple of days will determine which seating we will be shooting for. We need help in the kitchen with both preparation and clean up. If you are able to help out, we appreciate it! GET READY FOR ANOTHER EXCITING YEAR OF MASONRY!
- Have you seen my Time Capsule? George Washington's Cornerstone... Today's custom of burying time capsules is in part an outgrowth of Masonic cornerstone-laying ceremonies. Through the centuries, Masons have officiated at rituals which often include placing memorabilia inside building cornerstones for later recovery. In 1793, George Washington, a Mason, performed the Masonic ritual upon the laying of the original cornerstone of the U.S. Capitol. Over the years, the Capitol has undergone extensive expansion, remodeling and reconstruction, but the original George Washington cornerstone has never been found. It is unknown whether there is anything inside of it.
